NAME: Pomegranate Walliams
ALIAS: Popcorn, Poppy

MUTATION: Pomegranate has the ability to produce microwaves. She currently can only produce microwaves at approximately 2-4 Ghz, or those located within the S-Band of the microwave spectrum, which is powerful enough to cause the molecules of water and other compounds to vibrate or rotate. This vibrates acts like a microwave oven, causing food to warm or cook. Since this can be used on any organic matter, should her power be used on a person it could be detrimental. She has developed most recently the ability to receive some smaller broadcast transmissions within her head, but she has no way of projecting them. This makes teaching her more difficult, since most of the time during lecture she is listening to daytime court television, soap operas, and talk shows. This would probably also cause airwave pollution with all telepaths. It is theorized that upon the study and practice of her power she should be able to mimic the abilities of all microwaves, including the creation of broadcast transmissions, radar detection, and semiconductor processing techniques use microwaves to generate plasma for such purposes as reactive ion etching and plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Currently at the age of 16, Poppy looks like your standard teenager. She keeps short blonde straggly hair that badly needs a haircut, due to her hippy roots she does not wear makeup. She does not wear fashionable clothes, and prefers to wear only cotton/organic clothes, preferably from goodwill or other second hand sources. Overall, she looks fairly boyish.

PERRSONALITY: Pomegranate is a fairly deadpan person. She is convinced that her microwaves are going to give her cancer and cause early death. She also believes her microwaves have destroyed her libido. She believes her ability to reheat food is completely pointless and says would rather spend her life on a couch thank risking her life and parading in a yellow spandex suit, however she secretly wants to be an X-Man but fears the ridicule of her best friend, Ann Jones. She has little to no response to anything, but it is unknown if this is in fact a part of her personality, or a side effect of being constantly near Jones, who controls a sleep pheromone.

HISTORY: Pomegranate was born to Mary Bell Walliams-Lucas and Samantha Lucas-Walliams in Black Oak Ranch, a counterculture commune in Laytonville, California. Her powers were discovered at age thirteen when her parents discovered her in a McDonalds. Upon an argument, the frustrated emotions from Pomegranate trigger all the microwaves within the restaurant to explode. Upon further investigation, they discovered that their daughter was in fact a mutant with the ability to send microwaves at the proper frequency to heat organic substances. Her parents decided then that sending her to a mutant school to allow their daughter to flourish and grow into her powers. They quickly contacted Professor Xavier and sent her to the School For Gifted Youngsters.

Her first years were uneventful, however several attacks have since been made on the school and Pomegranate has somehow managed to avoid them all. When a raid on the school occured, she had been in the bathroom, half awake, listening on her ipod the audio book "Women and Self-Esteem" that her parents had sent her for her birthday. During the Sentinels attack, she had been blocks away at the local 7-11 buying cheetos. While she remains completely emotionless to the attacks of the school, she has revealed she feels somewhat better about herself and her meaningless powers. Overall, very little progress in her powers has been made and remains a relatively harmless mutant.

Extra Bits: Will have difficult with telepaths since she can "pollute" brainwaves by receiving broadcast waves in her head.
